Virginia Amelia Ketchum was born on May 9, 1911, the daughter of Louise and Harry. She married Milton Leslie Vanderhoff on November 25, 1929, in Chemung, New York. They had one child during their marriage. She died as a young mother on October 28, 1938, in Big Flats, New York, at the age of 27, and was buried in Elmira, New York.
Mrs. Virginia Vanderhoff, 27, of West Hill died Friday, Oct. 28, 1938, at 7:30 a. m. She is survived by her husband, Milton Vanderhoff; a son, Gerald; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ketchum of West Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Tolbert of Elmira, Mrs. Esther Berlew of Watkins Glen; two brothers, Hiram Ketchum of Rome, N. Y., James Ketchum of Elmira. Mrs. Vanderhoff was a member of the Epworth M. E. Church and Chemung Valley Grange. The body is in the Holly funeral home. Funeral notice later.
