Minnie A Coates Vanderhoff
Minnie A Coats was born in 1858, daughter of William Coats and Mary A Canfield Hart. Minnie lost her birth father at the age of 5 and was raised primarily by her mother and step-father, William M Hart.
On February 13, 1878, Minnie married Chillian F Vanderhoof, son of Garret and Catherine Winters Vanderhoof. Minnie and Chillian had two children; Grace H Vanderhoof (1881-1905) and Byron Randolph Vanderhoof (1883-1944).
After losing her husband in 1908, Minnie lived the rest of her days with her son, Byron, and his family.
Minnie died in 1933 and is buried with her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, Chemung, New York.
