Samuel Lynn Van Blarcom
Samuel L was the second child born to John and Emma Weller Van Blarcom. Samuel lived at home in his early years and relocated to Kansas sometime between 1880 and his marriage in 1894.
On March 8, 1894, Samuel married Caroline “Carrie” Scott Stingley of West Virginia, daughter of Wellington Harness and Margaret Welton Stingley. they had two children; Mary Louise and Hobart Scott. After his first wife’s death in 1899, Samuel married her older sister, Anna Kate Stingley.
Samuel is listed in the 1900 census as being a physician then, after 1910, as a railway postal clerk.
Samuel died in 1920 and is buried with both of his wives at Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas.
