Rachel Van Blarcom is noted in several texts as being daughter of Pieter Janse Van Blarcom and Jacomyntje Cornelis Van Blarcom, though her birth, christening and death dates currently remain unknown.

On June 4, 1715, Rachel married Abraham Van Seyl, son of Ecbert Stevense Van Seyl and Anna Ditto Van Seyl, in Acquackanonck, Bergen, New Jersey. Rachel and Abraham had three children baptized in Hackensack; Annatie (1717), Petrus (1719) and Eechjie (1731). Rachel’s first husband passed sometime before 1934 when she married her second husband, Abraham Metseler.
