Malissa Edwards Hopper
Malissa Edwards was the first child born to William Edwards and Mary Ann Vanderhoof Edwards.
On January 31, 1866 she married Henry Hopper. Malissa and Henry had two children; Eliza (m. Charles Coy Kendall) and Mary Jane. Her husband was a police officer and eventually a police captain in Newark, NJ.
The family lived in Newark until her death in 1917. Malissa is buried with her husband at Fairmount Cemetery in Newark, Essex, New Jersey.
