Harriet Elizabeth Ball was born in 1841, daughter of John Vergason Ball and Phebe Lindsley Ball.

On January 24, 1863, Harriet married Jason H Chamberlain in Newark, Essex, New Jersey. There is no record of children form their marriage.

Harriet lost her husband, Jason H Chamberlain in January of 1880 to phthisis pulmonalis, more commonly known as tuberculosis.

The death and burial of Harriet Elizabeth Ball Chamberlain are currently unverified.
