Hannah was born in 1829 in Newfoundland, Passiac, New Jersey and was a daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth Kimble.

On February 13, 1853 Hannah married David G Vanderhoof and the couple had nine children; Garret, Catharine A (m. Charles Hoyt), Charles C, Sarah (m. Edgar Van Houten), Samantha (m. John E Krance), Fowler C, Walter D, Morris A, and Lewis H. By 1860, David’s parents had passed, so he and Hannah took in four of his younger brothers, which probably made for a very full house.

Hannah remained in the family home after her husband’s passing. The census in 1900 lists her living with her son Fowler, grandson David Hoyt and a boarder, Luther Van Orden.

Hannah died in 1905 and is buried with her husband at Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Milford, Passaic, NJ
