Gould Corwin Roe was born in 1893, son of Walter Arlington Roe and Edith Irene Cogswell Roe.

On February 2,1913, Gould married Carrie M Beuter, daughter of Henry Beuter and Matilda Schinke Beuter. Gould and Carrie had fur children born in Horseheads, Chemung, New York; Elsie Beatrice(1915-2004), Doris M (1917-1996), Charles F (1920-1998), and Robert K (1922-2001).

Gould held several jobs throughout his years. In his younger days, he worked as a press man at the local sales book company. Later he worked as a machinist at a vulcanizing shop, and insurance agent, and at tool worker.

Gould died in 1974 and is buried with his wife at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, Chemung County, New York.
