Coe B Shay
Coe B Shay was born in 1848, son of Isiah VanNotten Shay and Rachel Ann Youngs Shay. Coe was raised in Sandyston, Sussex, New Jersey.
On February 5, 1873, Coe married Mary Bevans, daughter of Nicholas Bevans and Katherine Kyte Bevans. Coe and Mary had three children born in Sandyston; Martin C (1869, died young), Cora Belle (1873-1935), and Chola Nicholas (1878-1929).
Coe B Shay died at the young age of 30 and is buried with his wife at Layton Cemetery in Layton, Sussex County, New Jersey.
