Obituary

LeCAIN—Arthur, 77, of Gilsum, NH and Sugar River Drive, in Claremont, NH, died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 15, 1989 at the Valley Regional Hospital, after a long illness.

He was born in Cambridge, MA on March 27, 1911. The son of Levi Arthur and Caroline (Mifflin) LeCain. He was a graduate of Boston English High and received his associate degree in accounting from Boston College. Mr. LeCain had resided in Medfield, MA; Gilsum, NH; Claremont, NH and Enfield, NH. He worked as an accountant for Sasawki, Dawson & Demay in Watertown, MA for many years and retired in 1976. He was the widower of Ruth Madeline (VanBlarcom) LeCain who died Aug. 31, 1987.

The family includes three daughters, Carol Ruth Church of Westminster West, VT, Marcia K. Coffee of Sanford, ME and Leslie LeCain of Dover, NH; four sons, Richard Arthur LeCain of Enfield, NH, Robert Earl LeCain of Dover, NH, Ronald L. LeCain of Nashua, NH, and Raymond K. LeCain of Modesto, CA; eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, Feb. 21 at 11 o’clock in the McCusker-Stringer Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey B. Kress, Pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the spring in the Centennial Cemetery in Gilsum, NH.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday afternoon and evening 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The family requests that donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Assoc., NH Affiliate, 309 Pine St., Manchester, NH 03103.
