Anne Brackenridge Van Blarcom was last child born to Andrew Van Blarcom and Sarah Streit Riker Van Blarcom. She was born and raised in Newark before moving with her family to Nutley sometime between 1930 and 1940. She attended the Prospect Hill County Day School in Newark and was a member of the Colonial Dames and Newark Junior League.

On April 15, 1944, Anne married Percy Harper Ballantine, son of Percy and Elizabeth Parke Ballantine of Lake Wales, Florida. They were married at Windy Brow Farm in Newton, nj at the home of Mrs, Ralph Inslee, sister of the bride and matron of honor.

Anne Brackenridge Van Blarcom Ballantine died on October 24, 2008 and is buried in a large Van Blarcom family plot at Newton Cemetery in Newton, Sussex County, New Jersey.
