Lucy Ann Sutton was a daughter born to Michael Rorick Sutton and Elizabeth Forrester Sutton. She was born and raised in Sussex County, New Jersey.

On September 17 1850, Lucy married Manuel C Sibbet in Hardyston, Sussex, New Jersey. Shortly after their marriage the couple moved with Lucy’s family to Macomb. Michigan where they had one child, Caroline E (m. Dr. William H Wilkinson).

Lucy stayed at home as a homemaker/caretaker.

Lucy lost her husband in 1855 and there is no record of her remarrying. She lived mostly with her sister Hannah’s family, then later with her daughter Caroline, her husband, and her grand daughter.

Lucy Ann Sutton Sibbet died in 1896 and is buried on a large Sutton/Ayres plot at Romeo Cemetery in Romeo, Macomb County, Michigan.
