Edith Irene Cogswell Roe
Edith Irene Cogswell was daughter of Gould S Cogswell and Eliza A Cole Cogswell.
In 1890 Edith married Walter Arlington Roe, son of Daniel B Roe and Margaret Martha Vanderhoof Roe. Edith and Walter had seven children; Goldie E, Corwin Gould, Walter G, Leon G, Hazel P, Mildred I, and Beatrice A.
Edith was witness to a horrible tragedy concerning her father and older sister, Ada. According to the Elmira Daily Gazette, her father shot her sister and subsequently hung himself. See the Memories section for full articles.
Edith Irene Cogswell Roe died in 1913 and is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, Chemung, New York.
