John L Conklin
John L Conklin, born in 1848, was son of Lewis L Conklin and Susan Van Blarcom Conklin.
On April 12, 1870, John married Isabella A Post, daughter of Cornelius and Margaret Post. John and Isabella had two children; John W (1871-1913) and Joseph Moss (1878).
John worked several different jobs through the years. According to census documents he worked as a postmaster in the 1880s, a life insurance agent in the 1900s and a collector in the 1910s.
John served in the Civil War though the details of his service aren’t currently available.
John L Conklin died in 1919 and is buried at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey.
