Ruth Van Blarcom Whiting
Ruth Van Blarcom was born in 1892, daughter of Andrew J Van Blarcom and Nellie Van Doren Van Blarcom. Ruth stayed at home with the family until the early 1900s and eventually attended Wellesley College, graduating in 1913.
On June 8, 1918, Ruth married Philip Erwin Whiting, son of Fred E Whiting and Amy E Ferguson Whiting of Massachusetts. Ruth and Philip had four children born in New York; Nancy Goodridge Whiting (1919), Joan Thurston Whiting (1922), Philip Van Blarcom Whiting (1924) and Ruth Van Blarcom Whiting (1929).
Ruth died in 1980 and is buried with her husband in a large Van Blarcom plot in Newton Cemetery in Newton, Sussex, New Jersey.
