Mary F was born in 1835, possibly in New Jersey. Currently research has not produced her origin, maiden name, or parents. According to the 1880 census, Mary’s parents were both born in Ireland.

Mary married John Thompson Ball presumably sometime prior to the birth of their daughter Sarah in 1872.

According to the 1880 census she was a house keeper.

There are some conflicting facts here between Mary’s headstone and the 1880 census. Further investigation may clear these up.

Mary died in 1892 and is buried with her husband at Glen Dyberry Cemetery in Honesdale, Pennslyvania.
