James Eli Ball
James Eli was the first child born to Isaac and Sarah Burnett Ball.
On September 14, 1830 James married Harriet Elizabeth Osmun, daughter of David Osmun and Lydia Peck Osmun, in Essex, NJ. Sometime between their marriage in 1830 and the 1840 census, James and Harriet relocated to Pennsylvania living first in Luzerne County before finally settling in Wayne County. The two had nine children: Charles Mopore, John Thompson, James Eli, Sarah Burnett. George, David Osmun, Isaac Harrison, Henry Clay, and Anna.
According to census documents, James worked as a farmer and a laborer.
He died in 1889 and is buried at Glen Dyberry Cemetery in Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
