Nietta Whitehead Wyckoff
Nietta “Etta” Whitehead was the fourth child of Jacob T Whitehead and Josephine O Crammer Whitehead.
On October 8, 1887, Nietta married Nelson Wyckoff, son of Henry Wyckoff and Permelia Nellie Smith Wyckoff. Nietta and Nelson had one son, Elmer Harry Wyckoff in 1888.
Nelson was a farmer and both he and Nietta were unschooled. Nietta and Nelson lived on the same farm in Ringoes for over 50 years until her death in 1944.
Nietta Whitehead Wyckoff died in 1944. Her obituary states she died “after a long illness.” Nietta is buried with her husband and her son at Stout-Manners Cemetery in Ringoes, Hunterdon, New Jersey.
